Ms. Lin is a labor and employment law attorney with experience in employment counseling, workplace investigations, labor law, and employment litigation. Ms. Lin counsels employers on state and federal leave laws, disability accommodations, FLSA compliance, employee discipline, and other employment law matters.
Ms. Lin defends employers in discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and ERISA litigation. Ms. Lin also represents employers in grievance arbitrations, as well as in administrative proceedings before PERB.
Ms. Lin graduated cum laude from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from Cornell University.
Ms. Lin joined the firm in 2015 after practicing at a large Michigan law firm.
Prior to joining Sloan Sakai Yeung & Wong, Ms. Lin worked as a summer associate and as an associate at a Michigan law firm, where she was a part of an employment litigation team that represented an American multinational company in its employment cases across the country.
During law school, Ms. Lin worked for the general counsel of a technology company, as a judicial law clerk at the San Francisco Superior Court, and as a tax law research assistant. Prior to law school, Ms. Lin worked as a corporate governance research analyst.
Ms. Lin speaks Mandarin fluently and has worked at a Chinese law firm in Beijing, China.
