Partner Steve Shaw will be presenting a training seminar at the California Association of Law Enforcement Background Investigators Conference on important legal issues for background investigators.
Topics include the consequences for failing to conduct a thorough background investigation, areas commonly missed or given less attention than warranted when conducting a background investigation, proper Government Code section 1031.1 releases, offenses or past conduct investigators are entitled to consider and materials they are entitled to review during the course of the background check, and reporting and confidentiality requirements.
