EXPERIENCE

Nazeerah is an Associate with the Firm specializing in the representation of public agencies on labor and employment matters. Nazeerah Ali focuses her practice on employment and labor law, representing clients in complex litigation and arbitration matters. She has experience handling general employment disputes involving workplace policies, just-cause terminations, police discipline proceedings, meet-and-confer meetings, settlement negotiations, and matters before the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB).

She joined the Firm after working with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan where she practiced general litigation, gaining valuable experience in high-stakes litigation across practice areas including Employment, Antitrust, and Intellectual Property.

RELATED EXPERIENCE

Nazeerah earned her J.D. with Bono Honors from UC Berkeley School of Law and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Howard University. During law school, Nazeerah was a decorated competitor on the Berkeley Trial Team.  Nazeerah also previously served as a Law Clerk in the Civil Rights Division for the United States Attorney’s Office, Central District of California – as well as representing youth in dependency and delinquency court through East Bay Children’s Law Offices. Prior to law school, Nazeerah served as a 3rd grade teacher in Oakland.

In 2024, Nazeerah was the recipient of the Legal Services for Children: Excellence in Pro Bono Service Award.
